  • When is the Africa Festival Nuremberg?
    The festival takes place annually on a weekend in June. In 2025, it will be held from June 12 to 15, under the Theodor-Heuss Bridge in Nuremberg, located in the Pegnitztal-West nature reserve.
  • Do I need to buy a ticket?
    Entry to the general festival grounds is free.
  • What can I expect at the festival?
    You’ll find a colorful and vibrant program including: African and Caribbean music (Reggae, Jazz, Afrobeat) Films and cultural workshops A children’s program A marketplace with art, crafts, fashion, and exotic food & drinks
  • How do I get there?
    Venue: Under the Theodor-Heuss Bridge, Nuremberg By public transport: Take U1 to Maximilianstraße, then walk toward Westfriedhof/Nordwestring
  • Is there a children’s program?
    Yes! There is a free kids’ program during the day. Note: Parents are responsible for supervising their children.
  • Are there any rules I should know?
    Yes, here are some important ones: Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent at evening concerts No bringing drinks (except baby bottles) No leafleting or poster advertising No drug use Intoxicated or aggressive visitors may be denied entry No photo, video, or audio recording of evening concerts These rules ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
